The steps
- 1
Right-click on an empty part of your screen — somewhere with no icons on it. A small grey menu appears.
- 2
Click Display settings. A window opens showing a picture of your screen and a list of settings.
- 3
Scroll down until you find the word Scale. Next to it is a box with a number and a percent sign, like 100%.

What is Scale?
It is how big your computer draws everything — text, buttons, icons, all of it. It does not change the picture quality, only the size. Think of it as moving closer to the screen.
- 4
Click that box and choose a bigger number, like 125%. Everything on the screen grows straight away.
It looks different on my screen
If your list says Change the size of text, apps, and other items instead of Scale, that is the same setting with a longer name. Use it the same way.
If some windows still look small afterwards, sign out of Windows and sign back in. Older programs only pick up the new size when they start again.
