The steps
- 1
Press WinI on your keyboard to open Windows Settings. The Windows Settings window opens on your screen.
Why uninstall through Settings instead of deleting the folder?
Simply deleting an app folder from File Explorer leaves behind background helper processes, auto-startup triggers, and registry keys. Running the official uninstaller cleans up all associated files properly.
- 2Click Apps in the left menu, then click Installed apps.An alphabetical list of all software installed on your PC appears, with a search bar at the top.

- 3
Type the app name into the search box, click the three dots ... (or the app name on Windows 10), and click Uninstall. A confirmation prompt asks if you want to uninstall this app.

- 4
Click Uninstall to confirm, and follow the uninstallation wizard until it finishes. The program finishes removing its files and disappears completely from your installed apps list.
It looks different on my screen
If a blue and yellow shield prompt appears asking "Do you want to allow this app to make changes to your device?", click Yes so the uninstaller has administrative permission to proceed.
