The steps

  1. 1

Press WinA on your keyboard to open the Quick Settings panel. A panel opens in the bottom-right corner showing network, sound, and quick action tiles.

    Why does Night light help?

Computer displays emit blue light which can trick your brain into thinking it is daytime. Night light warms the colors on your display toward amber, significantly reducing eye fatigue during evening hours.

  2. 2

Click the Night light tile to turn it on. The tile turns blue, and your entire screen instantly shifts to a warmer, softer tone.

The Windows Quick Settings panel with the Night light toggle button active.
  3. 3

To adjust the warmth or set an automatic sunset schedule, right-click the Night light tile and select Go to Settings. The Display settings page opens where you can drag a strength slider or toggle automatic scheduling.

  4. It looks different on my screen

On Windows 10, click the notification bubble icon at the very bottom-right corner of your taskbar to open Action Center, then click Expand if you do not immediately see the Night light tile.
