Click the network and sound icon cluster in the bottom-right corner of your screen (next to the clock).A Quick Settings panel pops open with buttons for Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and Volume.

   Click the arrow > next to the Wi-Fi icon, or click your network name from the list. A list of nearby Wi-Fi network names appears.

   Click on your Wi-Fi network name, check Connect automatically, and click Connect. A text box appears asking for the network security key (password).

   Type your Wi-Fi password and click Next. The button briefly says Connecting, then changes to Connected with full signal bars.

   What does 'Connect automatically' mean?

   When checked, your computer will remember this network and reconnect on its own whenever you are near it, so you never have to re-enter the password.

If you do not see your Wi-Fi network in the list, verify that your home router is plugged in and turned on, or toggle your Wi-Fi button off and back on in the panel to refresh nearby networks.
