The steps
- 1
Right-click on the Start button in the bottom corner of your screen (the Windows logo icon). A tall menu of quick system tools appears above the Start button.
Why right-click the Start button?
Right-clicking the Windows button opens an instant shortcuts menu for quick access to core system tools without searching through menus.
- 2
Click System. The Settings window opens directly to the About page.

- 3
Look under Device specifications. You see your Processor (the computer's brain) and Installed RAM (memory capacity).
- 4
Scroll down to Windows specifications. You see your exact Edition (like Windows 11 Home or Pro) and Version number.
