The steps

    Press WinI on your keyboard to open Windows Settings. The Windows Settings window opens on your screen.

    Why is it useful to find your Wi-Fi password on your PC?

    When you need to connect a new smartphone, tablet, or guest device to your Wi-Fi network and forgot the router password, Windows already stores it and can reveal it in plain text.

    Click Network & internet in the left menu, click Wi-Fi, and click on your connected Wi-Fi name.The properties page for your wireless network loads with security and connection details.

    Scroll down to find View Wi-Fi security key and click the View button beside it.The hidden dots convert into readable text, displaying your Wi-Fi password.

    If User Account Control asks for permission when clicking View or Show characters, click Yes to authorize Windows to display the password.
