How do I print only specific pages instead of the whole document?

The steps

Open the document, PDF, or web page you want to print, and press CtrlP. The Print dialog window opens with printer settings and a page counter (like "1-20").
Why not print all pages?
Specifying exact page numbers saves valuable paper and ink when you only need a single form, table, or receipt from a lengthy multi-page document.

Under Pages, click the dropdown or radio button and choose Custom (or Page range). A text box appears where you can type page numbers.

Type the exact page numbers you need: use hyphens for ranges (like 1-5) and commas for individual pages (like 3, 7, 12). The print preview instantly refreshes to show only your selected pages, and the total sheet count updates.
Tip
You can combine both methods in one box — for example: 1-3, 7, 10-12 prints pages 1 through 3, page 7, and pages 10 through 12.

Click Print. Your printer prints only the exact pages you specified, leaving the rest of the document untouched.

To save paper by printing on both sides of each sheet, look for the checkbox or dropdown labeled Print on both sides (Duplex printing).
